Develops, directs, and manages the Department of the Army's Healthcare interface with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in concert with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Sister Services. Leverages the assets of both Departments in support of the healthcare needs the combined DoD and VA beneficiary population of 18.7 million. Establishes strategic priorities and objectives for the program consistent with the mission, shaping national policy for the two Departments and the combined budget of $116B.
